Feli-Fo was born in the summer of 2023 when mum and I went to a culture market and spotted a gap; a luxury waist beads gap. Mum had worn waist beads as a toddler and young girl, and I followed suit, so we both innately understood their meaning and beauty. In most West African cultures, waist beads signify womanhood, fertility, and connection to our histories and ancestors. So, we set about working with a small team based in Ghana to select and arrange the most exclusive bead designs and combinations to offer our clients as much choice as possible!
